American Association for Crystal Growth
Each year the AACG will award up to $15,000 in scholarship money to a US member or members of the AACG who are working in the field of crystal growth. This program was established in 2003 to assist qualified men and women working in the field of crystal growth to continue their education towards a technical degree.
Individuals competing for these scholarships must be presently working in the field of crystal growth and must complete and submit an application to the scholarship committee. A copy of the previous college transcript, or for new students, a letter from a faculty advisor is also required. Applications are due by April 15 for awards to be granted for the following fall term. Awards are based on academic ability, interest in crystal growth, and financial need. The awardees must submit their academic record to the AACG Scholarship Committee for review each semester. In addition, the student must advise the Committee in writing by May 1 each year of the intention to return to college for the following year.
To submit an application, contact the AACG Administrator at aacg@comcast.net. Notification of scholarship awards are announced in June.
